Winemaking

This white blend comes predominantly from Chenin Blanc and Colombard grapes from selected vineyards in the Western Cape. Here the warm Southern sunshine ensures the grapes reach their optimum ripeness before being picked by hand, softly crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. A portion of the final blend is passed through a spinning cone column, a technique which reduces the alcohol level while preserving the volatile compounds which give flavour and quality. This component is blended back to give a fresh and balanced wine of around 11.2%.

Tasting Note

An immediately attractive nose of fresh citrus and stone fruit with lightly floral notes. The palate is crisp and vibrant with ripe, fleshy, gently tropical fruit characters and a clean tangy finish.

Such a versatile wine. Its freshness, flavours and fabulous aromas match anything from a sensational summer salad to a fist of freshly shucked oysters.
