Winemaking

Fruit is sourced from 3 parcels of young vine on the outskirts of St Joseph, vines on a sunny terrace of galets roulés on the left bank opposite the domain and other selected sites in the northern Rhône. Long fermentation with only indigenous yeasts, robotic pigeage to extract maximum colour and smooth tannins. Matured in french oak foudres with very low level of SO2.

Tasting Note

Classic, smokey peppery notes on the nose with serious structure and red fruit on the palate. Robust yet balanced, this is a stunning mouthful of youthful Syrah from the Rhône.

Barbecued steak, roast pork with fennel garlic, Lancashire hotpot, wild mushroom linguine.
